The difference between Pop up and Pop under on Pop traffic

Many friends complain that the Pop traffic is very cheap, but the quality is very poor. After the user opens, the advertisement is rarely clicked, and the CTR is extremely low.

It is undeniable that Pop traffic is very easy to cause users to resent because of its own characteristics, but if you understand the following things, you may not see it.

When we build Campaign on the Pop traffic platform, we will find that some platforms will provide us with two display methods, one is Pop Up and the other is Pop Under. Some platforms don't provide it. At this time, we usually go to the AM of the traffic platform to ask, which is the way it is displayed, because it is very important to us.

The specific difference between the two is:

Pop Up is our common pop-up window. When you browse the web, you click on a certain place or a link on a page, and suddenly a window pops up in front of your eyes, showing ads.

Pop Under, we call it a back bomb, it is actually behind the current page, you can't see it directly, only when you close the current page.

Correspondingly, because the current browsers arrange the windows according to the Tab tab, there is a Tab Under type, but the essence is the same.

Everyone may be curious. If the bomb is behind, the user can't see it, isn't it white?

So if you use Pop Under traffic and want to increase your exposure, there are two general practices:

First, make a Javascript Alert prompt box on the landing page page.

The user will then see this in the pop-up window (that is, the web page being viewed, at which point they have not seen the back-up advertisement):



When the user clicks OK, it will display our Pop Under page.

Second, play music

This does not require too much explanation, as long as the webpage has music, the user will definitely find out where.

The above two are sometimes mixed together.

Although many people will say that such an experience is not good, but to be honest, the experience of the pop-up window itself is already bad, there is no need to feel good about the experience.

However, some traffic platforms do not allow you to do this, so you must first figure out the platform so that you can't let it work. If you let it go, you will naturally be happy. If you don't let it, you can only be embarrassed.

For Pop Up, directly overwriting the page that the original user viewed, the resulting conflict is actually very large, the advantage is to ensure the exposure (but it is also easy to be intercepted by the browser). To play Pop Up well, to ensure that your content and website match (and even disguise the content of the website), the results are the best.

Pop Under is more gentle, and the flaw is easy to be missed by the user, so we have to add some reminders.

If you choose Pop Under traffic and don't add some methods to let users see your Landing page, don't always complain that your Landing Page's CTR is so low, because users are embarrassed, but they don't even see it at all. Your ad, it is impossible to produce CTR, even if you see your Landing Page is opened in the tracking system, it is only opened behind the current window.
